Ways to Get in the Water in Orlando

It’s no secret that Florida is a hot and tropical destination which is perfect for those who are use to wearing parkas instead of swim suits. But we hope you are prepared to sweat while you’re here. Do’t fret though. Floridians are experts in cooling down during those long summer months. Just worry about bringing a swimsuit and then get yourself to any of these cool and refreshing water destinations.

This water park is equipt with some of the coolest thrills and shrills that are all sure to get you pumped, and of course cooled down. Dare yourself to take on some of the tallest and crazy rides around, like a 6-story plunge down on the Bomb Bay. Race your friends down a waterside and into a pool with the Aqua Drag Racer. There’s 350 feet of winding tracks, who will make it down first?

Blizzard Beach

Don’t walk away from this park because of the name. Let us assure you that there is indeed no real blizzard here. Adorned in a, thankfully fake, winter wonderland, this place will surely take you through a blizzard of fun as you get drenched on some of the world’s largest and fastest free-falling rides and slides. A fantastic spot for fun and some relief from the sun.

Rides, slides and pools are great, but maybe you want to have some more friends to swim around with. How about dolphins? Or maybe rays and exotic fish? You can bet that Discovery Cover will be an experience of a lifetime. It’s not everyday you get to swim and snorkel with beautiful marine creatures around you. Relax at the beach and have lunch after your epic underwater adventures.

Let’s mix a park with rides with the one that has marine life to swim with. At this water park you will have good fun on all of the cool slides, raft rides, and wave pool. The only difference at this park is that the Surf Pool has an extra surprise, sharks! There’s a lazy river to chill out when you need a nice break.

If you are willing to drive just over an hour outside the city of Orlando you will be rewarded with some of Florida’s most beautiful beaches. Grab your flights to Orlando from Thomas Cook Airlines and that swim suit and head over!

Cocoa Beach

This spot is a favorite and for good reason. Besides a nice beach to lounge and relish in, the city itself is really nice too. Seafood restaurants, jazz clubs, picnic areas, and more are all along the seaside. You can’t ask for much more, unless you happen to be sunbathing when the nearby Cape Canaveral has a space shuttle launch.

Daytona Beach

A fun day in the sun with the ocean water right there to cool you down is probably what first comes to mind when you think of Florida. That image can be created here at Daytona, and when you have had your dose of the sand, get out in the water with a adventurous itinerary. Banana Boat rides, parasailing, snorkeling, and private boating excursions can all be enjoyed here.
