The top picks are based on the millions of real and unbiased reviews and opinions from travelers on TripAdvisor.com. Destinations were awarded in the following categories: Top Destinations in the U.S. and World, Best for Families, Romance, Beach & Sun, Culture & Sightseeing, Food & Wine, Nightlife, Outdoor & Adventure, Relaxation & Spa, and Top Emerging Destinations. Here are a few reasons to consider why these lust-worthy locales were selected.

Providenciales took the top spot for best sun and beach destinations around the world. With plenty to do and plenty of nothing to do at the same time, it’s easy to see why.

New Orleans was voted number one for nightlife. Even after the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, they still know how to put on the best show around.

Marne-le-Vallee was ranked number one among family destinations – simply because it’s the location of Euro Disney. Although Trip Advisor reports that unlike Orlando, there is some non-Disney entertainment, such as fabulous Parisian shopping.
