Cave Restaurant – Sydney

Drawing on the ambience that a cave-like environment can create, Koichi Takada Architects designed the Cave Restaurant – a totally original dining concept whose aim is to change the way we eat and chat in restaurants. Located in Sydney, Australia, the Cave makes use of unusual textures and superb acoustics to achieve this appealing setting. The designers experimented to find the perfect way to create a sound studio atomsphere, settling on timber grain profiles. Arranged in this curv-y, cave-like manner, they allow for the pleasant ‘noise’ of dining conversation and offer a more intimate experience. Based on these images alone, it’s clear that what they’ve created is a visually stunning environment that’s ideal for socializing.
