Porsche recently presented 918 Spyder, a concept sports car, at Motor Show in Geneva. This beauty is built on the platform of a racing Porsche RS Spider and is powered by both a 500-horsepower V8 and a pair of electric motors. It has an E-Drive mode that allows the car to run on electric power alone, with a range of up to 25 km or 16 miles. Its battery power unit can be recharged by household electrical outlets. The speedster can theoretically reach 62 mph in 3.2 seconds, and get up to 198 mph on the high end. The Spyder’s sleek exterior is made of lightweight materials and is paired with the latest in Porsche interior design and features. This should be an indication that it may be headed toward production, despite its current concept-car status.
